What You'll Do: Farm Bureau Financial Services has an opening for a highly-motivated Marketing Communications Coordinator to join our dynamic team of marketing professionals. We're looking for an enthusiastic, high-energy, results-oriented individual. The optimal candidate will work collaboratively with our team to develop strategic communications that build awareness, visibility and relevance for our companies, brand, agents, and advisors. Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and coordinate our public relations plan; coordinate the writing and release of media advisories and press releases, along with monitoring media pick-up
  • Partner with internal and external teams to develop compelling communications/materials for events, sponsorships and other public relations initiatives
  • Plan and execute our presence at consumer facing events across our 8-state footprint
  • Provide event materials for our agents and advisors to use in their local communities, increasing local engagement and awareness
  • Facilitate the creation of interior and exterior office signage for Agents and Advisors
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to develop marketing campaigns and ensure alignment
  • Coordinate legal and compliance approvals for all marketing materials for both corporate and agent/advisor channels
  • Effectively manage project budgets

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, or public relations
  • A minimum of 5 years of marketing or public relations experience at either a marketing agency or in corporate marketing department; insurance/financial services industry experience preferred
  • Seasoned collaborator and skilled problem-solver
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain productive working relationships with internal business partners and external agency partners
  • Ability to multi-task, anticipate what's next and thrive in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated, creative, flexible and adaptable to new situations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Some travel is required, related to events
