Lean Six Sigma Specialist

The Lean Six Sigma Specialist will support the organization's Lean and Six Sigma program as well as coordinate instructional classes and design. In this role, you will assist in continuous improvement projects as needed from ideation to realization. This role will contribute to training and development of business leaders and associates to guide continuous improvement in processes and performance. In this role you will also:

  • Oversee and manage Lean and Six Sigma projects including the selection of projects, training and development of leaders and associates, application of lean and six sigma methodologies, and program development initiatives and events.
  • Provide coaching and support to individual contributors to promote adoption and improvement of lean six sigma methods and practice, including developing and delivering training as needed.
  • Maintain the project development, completion, and implementation schedule by working with the IT business relations consultants to see that requirements are completed, signed off and delivered as required by the project schedule.
  • Coordinate the business side activities necessary for the completion of business plans affected by lean six sigma projects.
  • Assist individual contributors in obtaining Project Champion, Management, and Certifying organization's acceptance of completed Lean Six Sigma projects.
  • Work with outside vendors and lean six sigma certifying organizations to maintain current and relevant training material and tools for the program.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining business metrics and reporting of all aspects of the lean six sigma program deliverables and outcomes on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Maintain proficiency in all areas of the lean six sigma program materials and tool set.

What it takes to join our team:

  • College degree or equivalent plus 3 years of financial services or insurance related experience required.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required.
  • Strong documentation, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the Lean Six Sigma methodologies and related tools. (Excel, Minitab, PowerPoint, and other related tools)
  • Must have or attain knowledge of Farm Bureau products, services, and strategies affecting project(s).
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication, planning, presentation, decision making, and negotiation skills.
  • Must be results oriented and able to adapt and deal with ambiguous situations and manage expectations.
